Ambitious about Autism launched a report called ‘Our Lives in you Hands’ in March 2013.
Our Lives in Your Hands tells the stories of nine families of young people with autism. The report sets out the families’ stories and highlights how the reforms proposed in the Children and Families Bill will affect them. The report is designed to help policy makers better understand the lives of the children and young people their decisions will affect.
I was very please and proud to have been one on nine families represented in the report to help illustrate what impact the Children and Families Bill will have and how changes could improve our lives. We were invited to attend the launch event on the 29th April at which we heard the Minister Edward Timpson and other notable speakers.
